QA29: What is that vision test you used to screen my preschooler’s eyes?

The vision test we use is called Suresight. It measures how light is changed when it hits the eye and allows us to identify children who might have nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism. It also measures the difference between the two eyes. If there is an abnormality on the vision screen, your provider will refer you to an eye doctor for a more thorough exam. – Libby Coughlin, FNP
