Button Wood Park Zoo

Those of you who know my dad know that he is a bit nuts, especially when it comes to getting outside.   Today he took me to the Buttonwood Park Zoo for my first zoo experience.  He said I was going to love seeing all the animals and the Zoo Choo Train, but sometimes he forgets that I can’t really see too far because I am only 3 1/2 months old (you might be interested in checking out the app called BabySee in the iTunes store to see what the world looks like through the eyes of your child… maybe I’ll blog about this one at some future time).

Well of course I got a good snooze in while he drove.   It takes about 20 minutes from our house and that was just about perfect for me.  When we got there I had to sit in my car seat and listen to 5 more minutes of post-game 2 World Series analysis, but I guess that was OK because then we went into the zoo and it was really cool!   We watched otters play with each other, a coyote run around, and we saw black bears snoozing away like they had all just nursed!  It was pretty fun to see all the animals, and it took me some time to finally figure out that our snack wasn’t outside in the jungle but that the walls of the cafeteria are painted!   It made my dad feel a little better to be outside with me….and it gave mom time to take a snooze!
